Grand Bazaar – New York’s Largest Year-Round Market
Grand Bazaar NYC is the longest-running market of its kind in NYC. The weekly market feature up to 150 diverse vendors, year round, rain or shine, indoors and outdoors.
“Grand Bazaar NYC is part shopping experience, part cultural adventure. It’s where New Yorkers and visitors explore everything from vintage fashion and handmade jewelry to home decor, art, and global street food.
What truly sets us apart is our mission: 100% of our proceeds support local public schools. Every purchase not only supports the small business economy; it helps fund classroom programs, enrichment, supplies, and other essentials so when you shop here, you’re directly investing in the New York City community“, says Dara Lehon, Executive Director of the Grand Bazaar NYC.
Running a weekly market comes with its own challenges – and rewards.
“Like with many businesses, some of the ongoing challenges are balancing the market’s long tradition with the economic climate, with the ever-changing tastes of New Yorkers, and having the space to welcome amazing new vendors,” Dara says.
But there are endless highlights too: like seeing small businesses grow into full-fledged storefronts, watching long-time vendors mentor new ones, and witnessing visitors discover something unexpected every Sunday.
Grand Bazaar intends to keep every weekend interesting and relevant by curating themes around both seasonal moments and cultural trends, from Spring Vintage Market to NYC Artisan Fair and Sustainable Sunday, focused on upcycled design. The market hosts roughly 10 dedicated vintage markets a year, though vintage vendors are absolutely present every weekend.
Lately, the Grand Bazaar has seen tremendous growth in interest from curative vintage vendors and enthusiasts.
“We think this reflects the larger movement toward conscious consumerism, the desire to shop with purpose – and appreciation of good design! Many of our vintage sellers are entrepreneurs who treat curation as an art form, blending nostalgia with modern style. We’re thrilled to provide a platform where they can connect with like-minded shoppers who appreciate quality and sustainability.”
The market is committed to bringing as many people to enjoy the market as possible, both vendors and shoppers.
“Grand Bazaar NYC is more than a market; it’s a microcosm of New York itself: diverse, dynamic, and ever-evolving. Whether someone comes for the vintage treasures, that perfect piece of artwork, or simply to people-watch, they leave feeling connected to the city’s creative pulse. We’re proud to be a part of that fabric every Sunday.”

“Grand Bazaar is one of my favorite markets because it really captures the energy of New York. Every Sunday feels a little different. It’s a mix of locals and travelers, so you’re always meeting someone new while still seeing familiar faces. I love how much people appreciate unique finds here. Everyone is curious, thoughtful, and genuinely excited to be at the market.
There’s a real community among the vendors. A lot of us sell at Grand Bazaar regularly or see each other at markets around the city, so there’s a sense of connection and support. For customers, the variety is amazing. You can find everything from handmade art and natural products to antiques and curated vintage. It’s also open year-round, which makes it a part of city life that people keep coming back to.”

“Randi’s Relics travels from Pennsylvania every Sunday to vend at the Grand Bazaar. Vintage clothing is our thing.
I started selling at the Grand Bazaar in late summer of 2021, during the pandemic, when there were fewer than 20 vendors outside during the winter months. Grand Bazaar seemed like a good fit for me, and there were not a lot of options where to sell during the covid pandemic. And oh boy was I right. Here we are four years later.
My booth is always located at the 76th Street entrance on the right. You’ll find clothing in every color at my booth: men’s and women’s true vintage from the 50s through the 90s, Western wear, fringe, denim, leather, work wear, fur coats, belts, hats, purses, ties, cowboy boots, and designer when I can get my hands on it. Everyday wear with a flare!
My favorite thing about the Grand Bazaar is the community and friendships that have formed. Oh, and the empanadas from Empanada Papa!”

“One thing I enjoy about the Grand Bazaar is the diverse range of vendors, offering everything from vintage clothing and antiques to handmade items, jewelry, and much more. Over time, I’ve formed close bonds with fellow vendors and our Sunday regulars, and I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting a diverse range of customers from both near and far, learning their names and connecting with their visiting friends and family.
A young woman who had recently moved to New York visited my booth during the late fall season, about two years ago. She was in need of a winter coat and tried on a beautiful vintage wool coat that would keep her warm during the cold New York months. After seeking her mom’s opinion via FaceTime, she purchased the coat. From then on, she would often stop by my booth to say hello. Most recently, she visited to share the news that she had met someone and moved out of the neighborhood, but she always made it a point to visit the bazaar whenever she was uptown. It’s so nice to make these types of connections with the customers.”
