Viennese lantern clock signed Trommelschläger in Pest (Budapest) circa 1820-1840, Case in spruce with burl birch root veneer, ebonized moldings with shellac polish, one side pane with a crack, dial with year, month, day of the week, moon phase, movement as a 1/2-year runner, brass plates with intermediate plate, weight drive via rope pulleys with gut strings, solid anchor escapement, half-hour striking mechanism with gong spring in the gong chair, Berthoud pendulum with rocking compensation and cutting suspension, Movement runs; this clock is likely a one-of-a-kind piece, for example a masterpiece, absolutely collectible; the original price was 120,000 DM in 1994 at an antique dealer in Kampen; detailed documentation accompanies the clock; a comprehensive restoration took place in 2008; 169 x 40 x 23 cm
