Antique Sunbonnet 1800’s Bavolet Bonnet 19th Century Bonnet 1800’s Mourning Bonnet

This antique 1800's bavolet sunbonnet has a deep brim & a 9" long skirt (bavolet). There is a short set of ties inside & longer side ties on the outside. This is made from a black satin type fabric & the brim features smocking & long strips of cardboard. The fabric is getting fragile as seen from tiny lines of shattering when it is held up to light but it is actually displayable. There is a tear on the top & one piece of cardboard that is sticking out. There is a shatter on the end of one of the ties.

Brim to back of bonnet depth is 11" deep
