Antique Victorian Riding Top Structured Bodice with Black Lace – 1900s

At once feminine and delicate, this fabulous riding top was definitely worn with some sort of bodice to keep the tiny, trim waist in check. Although this is over 100 years old it is in excellent condition and made extremely well. Black sateen fabric is covered in fine lace, small band collar, round lace-fabric covered buttoned front placket (21 buttons) notched cuffs, structured bodice (not sure if whale bone or just solid inserts), interior hooked strap, nipped waist and small pointed tail in back.
