Antique Victorian Black Chantilly Lace Beaded Silk Bodice sz Med

This is a very fine Victorian era bodice bearing the original retailers label for Baer of San Francisco. The lining is black taffeta with boning, even the lining is embellished with lace. The exterior is a heavy Peau de soie over which is layered black Chantilly lace which continues from the waist band at the front with tassels ending in beadwork at the front and a lace panel at the back. The front panel is a cream lace netting with an attached collar. I don’t believe the bodice was ever worn as the lace collar appears to be unfinished although the lace is present.
