Antique Mid Victorian Widow's Bonnet Antique 1800's Bonnet Antique Victorian Brown Velvet 1850s Velvet Bonnet

This antique, 1850-1870's Victorian bonnet is amazing. The velvet body is brown (see photo to notice age fading), trimmed with black satin bows, fine black crochet trim, grosgrain ruffles & loops, a somewhat squashed jet beaded decoration & long black chin ties. This has been stored for years & needs careful reshaping. Wear is noted on the edging & the inner buckram lining is cracking in several places. The chin ribbons are splitting. There is obvious fading of the brown velvet. This presents nicely & has wear potential. Wish I knew the story behind it!
