A synthetic ruby & diamond-set ring, featuring two curved gem-set rows, the first a yellow metal channel of five rectangular-cut synthetic rubies flanked to one end by a rose-cut diamond grain-set in white metal surface testing as base metal, the second a row of rose-cut diamond chips set, also flanked by a grain-set rose-cut diamond, the two rows set asymmetrically to each other, the head of the ring measuring 2.0cm x 1.1cm and leading to a yellow metal ring shank stamped with Egyptian National Country Hallmark and dated May 1946, surface testing as 18ct, ring size R, 7.6 grams.
