This black rayon velvet maxi gown with spaghetti straps is a classic formal gown to wear to a party, the theater, the holidays, or any special event. It’s comfortable and not fussy. Two little bows in back are cute!
It has a hot pink tulle underskirt and it appears the edges show at the hem. I like that. It’s flirty. But I’m sure a short hike would pull it up.
There is a hidden back 12” zipper.

Most of my pieces have been either dry cleaned or hand washed and steamed out.
Unless you know a dry cleaner has expertise with vintage fabrics do not leave your garment with them! I find that spot cleaning works well; just a bit of Woolite on a wet washcloth does the trick. Use only a drop. I also use my bathtub and mild detergent ( Woolite) to swish a garment clean...

This dress is in excellent condition, and I truly appreciate Marilyn's patience in addressing my concerns about the "dip" of the neckline. As is sometimes the case with vintage clothing, this lovely dress is sized in a manner perhaps better suited for a woman with broader shoulders; it's helpful to learn that measurements alone don't always give the whole picture. Dress measurements and the like aside, working with Marilyn has been a positive experience; she shipped quickly and with great care. I can heartily recommend her shop!
