This is a pretty cocoa brown silk velvet dress from the 1930's or early 1940's. It features shirring at the neckline, which opens with snaps at the left shoulder. The bodice is gathered top and bottom, and the skirt is slightly flared. There is a belt with a covered buckle. This dress closes on the side with snaps. The sleeves are shirred down the center, and end just below the elbows. There are two very small flat spots on the upper back left shoulder that should be steamed out. (see photos) and a tiny line at the center front upper skirt. (also, see photos) A very lovely dress, and feels like wearing a cloud, so soft and light! Comes from a smoke free home.
