So gorgeous , what can I say , I had these in the cart and then hesitated - I certainly wouldn’t buy new coral 🪸 now …. ?? What is ethical when it comes to vintage coral ? I may have hesitated but fate sent them my way I will say they feel “meant to be “ and I have been wearing them every day after not wearing earrings for years . They are a treasure from the past which I am honored to guard (and wear !). Something which was sacrificed at a time when a sacrifice like that could be afforded . After all the creation of every material object necessitates sacrifice and those incurred to make plastic items are troubling . Gorgeous inside as well as out (red leather interior , beyond chic ) , with pocket after pocket after pocket , all so cleverly arranged - with a purse like this you don’t need a wallet ! - the kind of craftsmanship that would cost you $$ thousands $$ nowadays , made by Gucci back when Gucci was Gucci , before it meant Tom Ford or Alessandro or the new guy (the reason “the brand” is so prestigious no matter the design vision ) , is because they are luggage makers of the finest level . A bag like this is the best of the best , world class , what Cary Grant would call “good stuff “! I’m terribly grateful to the seller who recognized its value and sent it carefully - and exceptionally fast.
