Of all the designers that had 1920s styles in their collections, only Sonia Rykiel and Jean Muir truly perfected their art. Tomato silk printed with a green pattern, has romantic gathered sleeves that end below the elbow and a yoked waistline that is gently elasticized. With vintage Maud Frizon mary jane pumps, the airy float of the silk with the delicate structure of the dress are perfectly feminine in ways that Muir conveyed best thoughout her career. Self ties at the neck, a contrasting ribbon belt and crystal clear Lucite buttons along the placket are great finishes to a fine piece. Bust measures 36", shoulder to shoulder 17", sleeve 18", waist 26" to 28" and total length 50". Excellent, if not flawless, condition. Always designer vintage since 1998.
