Ceil Chapman anyone? This 1950’s silk floral Ceil Chapman wiggle dress is exquisite. Beautiful pink, purple, blue, white, and green floral silk fabric. The bust is pleated. There is a unique asymmetrical gathering on the left waist side that drapes down perfectly. There is boning on each side of the bodice from the waist up and stops right at the bust line. I had the entire lining repaired because the original silk linking had deteriorated and was torn in many places. It had to be repaired and I wasn’t giving up on this dream dress! The new lining is a black acetate. Original back metal zipper. Excellent condition, there is one spot under the right arm that has been repaired.
So in love with this dress! It’s classic and simply lovely. ❤️.
