Senior cords
The so-called senior cords are corduroy clothes decorated with hand-drawn pictures, initials, and other personal details. They first appeared at Purdue University in Indiana in the early 1900s and would flourish for decades until the tradition died out in the 70s. The peak period was in the 60s when the garments had the most elaborate decorations. Typically the senior cords are pants or skirts in light colors like cream and yellow, as those make great canvases for the drawings.
