Halston
Halston (Roy Halston Frowick) started his tumultuous career in fashion as a milliner in Chicago and then at Bergdorf Goodman in New York. But as people stopped wearing hats in the 60s, Halston proceeded to launch his clothing line Halston Limited, in 1969.
Halston was ubiquitous in the 70s and 80s American fashion. Some of his famous designs were flowy tie-dye caftans, durable but flattering Ultrasuede dress shirts, and sexy halter dresses.
