Catherine Ogust
Artist Catherine Ogust started to design prints for The Penthouse Gallery in 1975. Initially, Penthouse Gallery marketed their mandarin-collared, loose tunics as sleep or beach wear. In 1985 they started to call the tunics Forever Dresses – meaning that you could wear them wherever you wanted. Penthouse Gallery made also other garments like wrap skirts.
Catherine Ogust’s famous color block prints are from the late 70s and early 80s. They are easily recognizable for their bold colors and graphic designs.
